Other than that, it's a story about human relationships, romantic and friendly. There is still an overarching plot to it, specifically the story of the aging comic book artist/writer and his fight to claim the rights of his comic book character. And just because there's no "twist" to the story doesn't mean it's too mundane. BoP has no such "catch" to it but rather it's just a straight-faced story of these people living in New York post-college. Most "slice of life" comics I've read have always had some kind of supernatural twist to it to make it less mundane and while that's fine, it's something I wasn't looking for.
